Abstract:
Wireless sensor networks play an important role in both environmental monitoring and target tracking. When events happen, they can happen anywhere in the deployment field with various size and limited lifetime. Event coverage wants sensors to cover every event region when events happen. The coverage ability of a sensor depends on its sensing model. This article applies probabilistic sensing model, which more practical with some type of sensors than binary sensing model. This research focus on sensor networks contains both static sensors and mobile sensors. Our method is to move mobile sensors to locations to gain maximize coverage. To find these target locations, we propose to use Delaunay triangulation. Moreover, this method can cope with field contain obstacle.
