Nowadays wireless local area network (wlan) is widely deployed in either large or small and medium organizations. Making the wlan services to cover most area in an organization required a large number of access points. To manage such a large number of access points, the wireless controller for helping administrator to control and manage the whole system is obviously necessary. However, due to the high cost of the wireless controller, small and medium organizations cannot afford. Also wireless controllers in the market can only manage the access points of their own brand. In this project, the affordable wireless controller has been proposed. The system is designed for supporting multi-brand low cost access points with sufficient features to manage the wlan system, ready for the services in short setup period. The proposed system has been upgraded and modified from the on-going wireless controller project development in Iwing laboratory.
