We proposed a protocol called Vicinity Connection Maintenance Protocol (VCMP) for a centralized WLAN that implemented the polling based media access control. VCMP creates chances for out of arbiter’s range stations, in the vicinity area, to communicate as they are in regular working condition. With the simplicity and efficiency, VCMP will be easily integrated to the polling based system, such as priority based, with a resource management. We will receive the system that works with low overhead and bounded delay, which suitable for implemented in the QoS support environments.
